This article was about Edgar Allan Poe about how he died. They think that he died by drinking because a cardiologist who practices a block from Poe's grave says that it is true that he was at a bar at Lombard street in October 1849. He was wearing somebody Else's soiled clothes. But he was not drunk. But then the next day they had to take him to the hospital becuase he was feeling ill and the next day he seemed better but he could not remeber anything about being ill. After he was there for four days at the hospital he became quiet and confused and then died. The docter say that Edgar Allan poe died because of rabies but they have no evidence that a rabid animal had bitten him.

I think that Poe didn't die from rabies. I don't think that he died from alcohol poisoning either. The reason I think that is because there is no real evidence saying that he died from either of those things. Thats what i think about that.
I dont think that he died from rabies because in one of the articles it says that rabies victims have a fear of water but Poe was drinking water. Even though he had some signs of having rabies I dont think thats how he died.
I dont think that he died from alcohol poisoning either. I think it had something to do with alcohol though. I think that because the articles say that he didnt drink anymore only that he used to drink a lot. So i think that overtime the alcohol mest up his brain and killed his brain cells. So that made him crazy. Thats what i think killed him.

I'm going to talk about how Edgar Allan Poe better known as Poe. Poe was outside a Balrtimore saloon in an alcoholic stupor on October 3, 1849.He was found drunk under a bridge. Some people took him to the hospital and after four days he had all ready died. He was not really able to drink for some kind of disease he had.
The disease he had was called Hydrophobia. It is like a fear you get of water and it is hard for you to drink because it is painful to swallow. I dont really know the reason of why he was drinking. He also avoided drinking as much as he could but i dont know why this time he was drinking. Also why he had died 4 days later.
When they saw him at the bar he was wearing someone elses clothing. It was army clothing. After getting out of the hospital he seemed okay and days after he had died. probably he was intoxicated with drinking to much and being unconsience. That he didnt really remember much of what had happened.

I think Edgar Allen Poe die from posing from whatever he was drinking. I think this because when i read the article called Poe's final days it said that,"On the former occasions, when Poe had been abusive & ungrateful. Most people get like that when they drink some type of alcohol.
They had found the alcohol in his dresser. So if he had die from rabies they wouldn't have found alcohol in his dresser. When he ws youger he had a drinking problem so that if he had a drinking problem back in the day it is most likely he would start drinking again.

It said his face was pale & he wasa drenced in sweat. This happens when your body goes through stuff because of what you are drinking nor eating. It also said that the next mornig he ws devoled a tremor. The tremor is an especialy from a physical illness. This probably leads to his death.

I think Poe died because, of alcohol poisoning. My first reason I think he died of alcohol poisoning was they found him dressed differently why would he have done that if he had rabies. My second reason is that when he was younger he used to have a drinking problem he could of gotten that problem again.
My third reason was that his face was pale and he was drenched in sweaty that mostly happens when your really drunk.My fourth reason was that a few hours when he was at the hospital he developed a tremor.
My fifth reason was when they found Poe the guy that found him said he had a dumb look in his face. That would make him look like if he was drunk. Those are my reasons that i think Poe died of alcohol poisoning and not rabies

I think Poe died of Rabies.One reason is because he lived in the days that many people were getting it. There was no treatment. At most cases people don't recall getting bit or even any interaction with any animals.When you first get bit your left with a mear scratch.Which wont come to mind that something is wrong. It takes about a year for symptoms to appear or even for people to react to it. You get about the some symptoms that you do when your drunk. So people could have thought he was.But he couldn't have been because just drinking water burned his throat let alone alcohol.He had also tried to keep away from alcohol because of what he went through at a younge age.He also had a cat which most likely bit him.The cat was also found died three months before Poe's death.Also he was probably in ragged old clothing because he was in pain and wanted to be a bit more comfortable in his condition.Nobody saw him in long periods of times because he was probably in bed trying to get better.Tring find out what was wrong with him. He went crazy because he was in so much agonising discomfort.He probably didn't want anyone to know about his condition because he was scared.so nobody even knew.

How he died I think, when he went to the bar, the cat must have gotten rabies from a smaller animal like a rat or something. Then when he got home the cat must have scatched him or bit him. Becuase in the article it said a scratch can couse a rabies infection. So that could have been how he died, a rabies infections.
In this article they also said that, when they saw that the cat had died of starvation, and had no rabies. But Maybe when the cat starved and died, the rabies died to. So when they checked the cat for rabies and there would be no rabies. So that could be a clue. Did he really die from a rabies infection.
Edgar Allen Poe also could have died from alcohol piosining. But in the article they said he had left the bar, but for some people you don't have to be drunk to get alcohol poisining. But he still couldn't died from it because there would still be some clues to it like throw up of something.
So he could have died two ways. Number one is he could have died from alcohol poisining, and he could have died from a rabbies infection. Now the infection could have killed him pretty easy. But the alcohol poisining could have just hurt him really bad. And if he had alcohol poisining, there should have been throw up everywhere. So those are the two ways.
But for me I still think he died of rabies, because there is a little chance of him dying from alcohol poisining. And that is how I think Edgar Allen Poe died, a rabies infection.
