The theme in thi s story, "Gift of the Magi" is about how two people, Della and Jim give up their most valuble things to make the other one happy. They both love each other so much they couldn't live with out the factb of not giving the other one a Christmas present.
Della gave up her long hair by selling it to get money to buy Jim a chain for his most valuble thing that was his grandfathers watch that now belonged to him. Jim had sold the watch to get Della what she always wanted a set of colmbs for her hair. Now that they both had nothing for what they got they weren't sad they where happy of the sacrifice the other one did for them.
This story really makes me happy and wanting to that for others. I know that it will make them happy and it would also make me happy the fact that i did something nice for someone else. I hope that more people can learn from this story to be a better person.
